Baked Apple Chips

When we first discovered how easy it was to make apple chips, we were hooked! Conveniently made in your own oven, your whole kitchen will be filled with the sweetest scent. Truly the perfect snack, prepare to double that batch, as they’ll be gone before you know it!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 10 minutes

  • 2 delicious apples*
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F.

  2. Stir together the cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.

  3. Core (though not necessary) your apples, then slice them thinly using a mandolin slicer.

  4. Line two sheet pans with parchment paper, and place the apple slices side by side in a single layer. Make sure not to overlap or place the apple slices on top of each other, as they will not become crispy.

  5. Sprinkle the apple slices with your cinnamon sugar mixture (the higher you sprinkle from above, the more evenly the sugar will scatter).

  6. Bake the apple slices for 1 hour, then remove them from the oven and flip them over. The apple slices will be floppy, but not to worry, they will become crisp when they cool. Return the apple slices to the oven for another hour, then turn the oven off. Let the apple chips cool completely in the oven.

  7. Once they've cooled, eat up!!

Recipe Notes

Honeycrisp and Fuji apples are our favorite to use. However, Golden Delicious & Granny Smith will both be a hit as well!

A variety of spices can be used, feel free to switch it up!
