We love bagels. But we don’t love the high calories and excessive processed ingredients in store bought bagels.
This is our favorite recipe for breakfast sandwiches because toy don’t have to boil these before prong in the oven – easy!
Plus, they’re higher in protein and with only 5 ingredients, I know my family is getting a bagel.

1 c whole wheat or gluten free flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 c non-fat Greek yogurt
1 egg white, beaten
Optional toppings: Asiago, sesame seeds, everything bagel seasonings, onion flakes)
Preheat oven 375°
Place parchment pallet on baking sheet.
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add yogurt and mix with fork until you have small crumbles.
Remove dough from bowl and, on a lightly floured surface, knead a few times until dough is tacky but not sticky (about 15 turns).
Divine into 4 equal balls.
Roll each ball into 3/4 inch thick ropes sms join ends (or roll into ball, poke a hole in middle and stretch a little…it doesn’t have to look perfect!)
Brush with egg white and sprinkle with desired toppings.
Bake on top rack for 25 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing.
