Free Real Foods Grocery List

REAL food is essential to optimal health, but unfortunately due to our fast paced lives most of us tend to focus on convenience rather than true nourishment. Modern day foods usually come from a factory, packaged in colorful boxes, and have a shelf life to last for years. Adopting a “real food” lifestyle can be intimidating and scary.

 

Here are 5 ways that will help you to adopt a real food lifestyle:

 

  1. Purge your pantry. Get rid of anything that has a long ingredient list, or comes with ingredients you cannot pronounce.
  2. Choose quality over quantity to prevent overeating, and reduce your grocery bill by choosing nutrient-dense food. When you choose nutrient-dense food over modern day processed foods, your body can actually feel more satiated on less food.
  3. Include some more “healthy” fats at dinner. Try cooking with coconut, olive, and avocado oils. Pair each meal with healthy fats as well (various nuts, seeds, and avocados, etc.)
  4. Eat what your great-great grandmother ate. Think about it. Back then a bag of Doritos was unheard of.
  5. Most importantly, eat with joy! How we eat is just as important with what we eat. Be present at the dinner table while you are munching, and enjoy every bite.
