    We consume an average of 100 pounds of sugar (cane and fructose) a year?! Astonishing. I will definitely be aware of all type of sugar including syrups which are hidden. I eat protein bars a lot and will be watching those in particular.

      I know! Gross huh? I was shocked at how this is possible but, when you start realize it’s in all our food it makes sense. Makes you want to check every label.

    I liked the statement that fruit is a free sugar. I also learned the importance of resistance work outs.

    Gah! And I thought I was doing much better at watching my sugar intake than I probably actually am. Gonna check nutrition labels more closely from now on! Thanks for the info!

    The info about how much sugar we consume was a reality check. That will most likely come to mind every time I see junk food now. I appreciated learning more about how our body reacts to sugar intake, especially the unnatural processed sugar. Coming out of a shoulder surgery I finally am at a point where I can do a variety of workouts. Circuit/HIIT workouts have worked well in the past along with eating smart. After listening to the podcast I feel like I can make even better choices to get back into top physical shape, while also working towards a better health balance between mind and body. Thanks for the info!
