Sweet-tart Smoothie

What a better way to end the month of February than with this delicious Sweet-tart Smoothie. This is a quick and healthy smoothie I throw together for breakfast for all my sweethearts before they run out the door to school. The best part is…this smoothie has got it all!

Ingredients:

8 to 10 oz. unsweetened almond milk (*Add more or less to reach the desired consistency.)

Large handful of fresh spinach leaves (*Your kids won’t even see or taste the spinach in this smoothie. I must admit…I love seeing them drink their greens!)

1-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (*I use a plant-based protein.)

½ cup of plain or vanilla bean Greek yogurt

1 to 1 ½ cups of frozen raspberries

1 T. flaxseed (*Flaxseed is a source of healthy fat, antioxidants, and fiber; and there is evidence that flaxseed can also help lower the risk of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease…so why not throw a little in your smoothie?)

Stevia to taste (*Stevia is a 100% natural zero calorie sweetener, and will balance out the tartness of the raspberries.)

Ingredients Sweet-tart Smoothie

Directions:

Throw it all in a high-powered blender and mix until creamy. It’s sweet, a little tart and super delicious!

Serve it. Love it.
