Taco Pizza

Yes! We’ve managed to take two of the greatest things life has to offer us and combine them. Taco Pizza. We are always on the lookout for simple recipes that our families will enjoy, especially when it comes to dinner. This one is not only healthier than your local take-out and your waistline, it’s also kid approved too.

1/2 lb. Extra lean ground beef or turkey
1 package Flatout Flatbread pizza crust or Naan
2 tblsp taco seasoning
2 tblsp water
1/2c fat free refried beans
1/3c reduced fat Mexican Blend shredded cheese
1/2 c shredded lettuce
1/4 c lite sour cream
Preheat oven to 375°.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef or turkey. Add taco seasoning, water and mix. Remove from heat and set aside.
Place flatbread or naan on baking sheet, spray lightly with olive oil and bake 3 minutes inn each side. Remove from oven.
Spread refried beans equally on flatbread/naan.
Top with seasoned taco meat and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 4-5 minutes until cheese melts and heated through.
Top with lettuce and drizzle with sour cream.
Optional toppings:
Diced tomatoes
Chopped olives
Chopped green chilies
