Yoga To Treat And Prevent Migraines

June 17, 2019

Did you know that thirty-six million Americans…about 12% of the population, suffer from migraine headaches? That’s a huge number! If you’ve ever had a migraine you know how painful and debilitating it can be. Yes, there are those that have a serious medical condition and need to seek their doctor’s advice, but for others of us, what if there was something to take the pain away other than just suffering through it, or taking over the counter medication? What if there was a more natural approach to consider to zap the pain once and for all, and let you get on with life?

Yoga to the rescue!

Yoga is an ancient technique that promotes healthy living through a combination of postures and breathing techniques. Yoga is a side-effect free method to fight migraines. Practicing these 8 simple yoga postures for a few minutes everyday will help prepare yourself better for the next migraine attack and possibly even prevent you from having one.

I get really bad migraines. I am on a daily preventive to help with the frequency of them. I am always nervous to try things that other people tell me work. I feel like i have them under control so I don’t like to switch up my routine. Since this is a natural, I will for sure be trying this. Thank you!

  4. Brandee Anderson says:

Bending down while I am in the middle of a migraine is not going to happen, but I’m interested in making this a routine to prevent them.

  5. Andy Paulsen says:

It will take me a while to build up to some of those poses. Something to work on, though. I think I can totally nail that corpse pose, though.
